A Capital Celebration

Clearly set in the Docks with the Pierhead Building and Norwegian Church providing the background to the Butetown Carnival which was once a major annual event - recently revived after many years dormant. 

The parade is depicted here with dancers, musicians and carnival masks, headpieces and mobile sculptures. South Wales Intercultural Arts (SWICA) organised community workshops for making costumes and floats.
